Honorable Harris H. Agnew

RSI Executive Committee Chair, Former Chief Judge of the 17th Judicial Circuit of Illinois

Honorable Harris H. Agnew, past Chief Judge of the 17th Judicial Circuit of Illinois for eleven years, served as a Circuit Judge for 21 years. He retired in December 1996 from the bench. During this time, Judge Agnew served as the Supervising Judge of the Mandatory Court-Annexed Arbitration Pilot Program. Judge Agnew is the past Chair of the Illinois Judicial Conference's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee and the Illinois Judges Association's Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. He continues as a member of the IJC & ISBA ADR committees. He also provided leadership to create a pilot major civil case mediation program in the 17th Judicial Circuit for civil cases over $30,000. Judge Agnew is RSI's Director of Mediation Services.
