- RSI celebrates its 10th Anniversary.
- Revision of Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators finalized after three-year process. RSI Executive Director Susan M. Yates served as one of two representatives from the American Bar Association. Other two sponsoring organizations were the American Arbitration Association and the Association for Conflict Resolution.
- The Conflict Resolution Information Source (CRInfo) launches newly updated website, for which RSI created a section devoted to the best resources on court ADR.
- RSI receives grant from the JAMS Foundation to support maintenance and expansion of RSI's court ADR resource center.
- RSI receives grant from the James B. Boskey Memorial Foundation to assist in renovating RSI's organizational website.
2006
- 17th Judicial Circuit initiates small claims mediation program. RSI assists with development of program, helps with coordination of mediator training, and creates report and evaluation forms.
- "An Overview of the Model Standards of Conduct for Mediators," co-written by RSI Executive Director Susan M. Yates, is published in the Winter 2006 edition of the American Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Magazine.
- RSI conducts an evaluation of the first 15 months of 2nd Circuit Judicial Mediation Program that serves divorcing parents in far downstate Illinois.
- RSI Service to the Community Award presented to Hon. Jerome Lerner, Mediation Consultant for Rush University Medical Center and former RSI Executive Committee member.
- RSI receives grant from the Illinois Equal Justice Foundation to study the possibility of using mediation to help meet legal needs of poor and low-income residents of Illinois.
- RSI receives grant from the James B. Boskey Memorial Foundation in support of creating section on website for information on court ADR on a state-by-state basis.
